Just some photos taken with my iPhone at the Oceanarium yesterday. Seems like when you’re in there, you only need one GOOD group shot and THAT’S IT. Everywhere in the oceanarium looks almost similar. When you capture a photo, all you get are water, a tank, some marine creatures, a group of people, and… a blue background. Hahahahahaha.
And these were the banana crumb muffins (You can get the recipe from HERE) that i made after my gym session this morning. I really deserve a pat on my back for waking up early to head to the gym, baking some banana muffins right after, and heading out to meet @mypinkpony @seasidesirenss @plastikkbarbie @dolly_unicorn and @jamdavidtojam for lunch in the afternoon.
For the banana muffins, you may follow the recipe literally, but i feel the need to increase the amount of sugar in the batter the next time i bake this. You see… the thing about baking stuff like banana muffin or apple crumble is that, the taste of the end product is pretty much unpredictable. How sweet it turns out is very much dependent on the sweetness of the fruit that you’re using. (This is just my own observations) For this batch of muffins, my bananas were not that so ripe when i used them, thus they inevitably affected the sweetness of the end product. Thank God the sweet crumble at the top saved the not-so-sweet cake. I will totally make this again! Not only is this easy, but it’s fuss-free (just weight weight weight and mix mix mix) and DELICIOUS! I got a thumbs up from everyone who ate it. Including my dad who doesn’t really comment on things i bake. Wheeee~
Alright, back to lunch. To satisfy Yu’s cravings for korean food, we headed to Hanwoori Korean Restaurant, AGAIN. Yes. Again for the 300 millionth time. It’s so good, so authentic, so wallet-friendly that we’re always going back for more. In fact, they’re having some lunch time and happy hour promotion right now. Doesn’t the sound of promotion interest all you readers??? Hahahaha.
For lunch, they’re having special lunch sets at relatively cheap (for the quality of food) prices. If i’m not wrong, a saba set costs only $10? Which is accompanied WITH FREE FLOW KOREAN SIDE-DISHES!!! And for their Happy hour promotion…. DENGDENGDENGDENG! You get 30% off your bill when you dine in between 5:30pm-6:30pm on Mondays to Saturdays! Whoohoooo! Firstly you get to beat the crowd, and secondly, you get 30% of your bill. What more to ask for, seriously?
It was my first time trying an authentic korean Jajangmyeon and i have to say that i really really really loved it! I think i’m a sucker for chewy food… Like mochi, tang yuan, rice balls, etc etc. Hahaha. The noodles of the jajangmyeon were so QQ i literally slurped it up. And the sauce, MAN, it was just simply delicious without being too overwhelming nor fancy. Yummy.
And of course, what better way to end this post than a picture of… my face? Hahahahaha. I’m kidding. Whoop! I can’t wait for the mega long weekend this week. Right now we just have to make do with the rest of the night, get through wednesday, and Tadah, BBQ on Thursday. I really need my BBQ Chicken wings and marshmallows right now. #yummy.
Alright, have a good night, everyone!
