Hi everyone! So many things happened over the previous week that i didn’t have the time to update this space. The highlight was probably i went for… LASIK!!! Whooohooo! It still feels surreal that i have perfect vision, but i love love love it nonetheless! My heart was literally jumping when my surgeon shook my hand and said “Congratulations! From now on, you will never have to wear contact lenses or spectacles” Gahhh! So thankful for my parents who paid for me! Quite a hefty sum there… but extremely worth it in my opinion. A long term investment would be the ideal term for it. And contrary to popular belief, LASIK DOES NOT HURT AT ALL! (At least for mine) 1) It was bladeless (plus point), and 2) the entire surgery took less than 10 minutes?
If you are interested in getting LASIK, i highly recommend my doctor, Dr Leonard Ang, from Lang Eye Center. He was actually the doctor who did my mom’s LASIK surgery about 7 years ago at the SEC. An extremely talented, humble and nice doctor!
So… the other day (like 2 weeks back, lol), we went over to Enrix’s place to surprise her because it was her 18th Birthday. Gosh, these kids are growing so quickly. We surprised her before heading opposite her place for prata.
Last Tuesday (if i’m not wrong), Yu, my sis, Sauyan and I had lunch at Borshch Steakhouse at Gardens before Abelle and I went off for camp the following day. The experience on a whole was… weird. Hahahaha. Upon stepping into the restaurant, Yu commented “Suddenly got the step back into the past feel hor“. Hahahah! Totally! Wait till you see the interior of the restaurant then you would understand why. LOL.
Hahahah! Can you imagine?? So old school and vintage that the orange payphone just sits perfectly with the interior design. hahahaah.
Uhm… If you ever plan to have their set lunch, please please please do not have their mushroom soup. The soup was extremely bad. So bad that i am very sure instant mushroom soup tastes a million times better. The mushroom soup they served tasted like.. beancurd/ soya bean milk? Hahahah. Not sure if the chef accidentally added in the wrong ingredients that day or what, but it was horrendous. Each of us barely even took 2 spoons of it. When the lady came to clear our barely touched soup, she even asked “很难喝啊？” Lolll! A bit self-evident aye. We even came up with some Tauhuay Ju / 到回去 Joke (inside joke) LOLLLLLLLLLLLLL. And we literally cringed when we saw other customers enjoying their mushroom soup. Taste buds spoiled?? Hahahaha.
As for their food, the western food was pretty decent though. But i guess the most worth it was their steaks. It was the best tasting one too. Belle, maybe they’re called a Steakhouse for a reason… And don’t you think the insides look like the setting for a first date in the 1970s? Hahahah!
Last Saturday, we had the usuals over to celebrate the June babies birthday! LOLLL! It was so funny cuz we bought out the cake (A unique hamburger cake we bought from Kovan) and gathered Aloy, Enrix and Anselm to the table. After singing the song and cutting the cake, my aunt casually asked when is Anselm’s actual birthday. I replied “May 10”. LOLLLLL!!! We all then burst out laughing because 1) His birthday is not in June, 2) His birthday was more than a month ago, 3) This is a VERY VERY belated birthday celebration for him. LOLLL!
Loved this Minnie skirt from tothe9ines! ONLY 2 left! So don’t hesitate. Goes so well with a pair of NB! We also have other mermaid-ish skirts that feel so princessy. So click click click! And follow us on Instagram too!
These photos were from yesterday’s cookout at our church’s canteen with Mark, Dave, My sis and the 2 leslie! We made cereal chicken, tomato prawn, fried rice and sambal kangkong… which the paste we made from scratch! As a whole, most of them were saltish (hahaha), but there’s always a first to everything! Can’t wait for next monday.
We spent a total of 6hours in church. 4 hours cooking and only having our “lunch” at 4ish. LOLLLL! What an experience. Alright, gotta change and head out in a while! Good week ahead, folks!
